Center Spotlight

Quinton D. Cotton, Ph.D., MSSA

Each month CHAI likes to recognize and celebrate its Members, Community Partners, and Ambassadors. This month we are featuring Quinton D. Cotton, PhD, MSSA.

Quinton completed his PhD in Clinical Investigation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He holds a Master of Science degree in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Social Welfare and Justice from Marquette University.

Quinton research focuses on developing, testing, and disseminating interventions tailored to the needs of Black American caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD). With a commitment to team science and applied research, he aims to improve the health and social conditions of Black Americans through evidence-based practices. Quinton’s interdisciplinary approach integrates qualitative and mixed-methods research methodologies to examine the influence of life events and social position on health and wellbeing, improve service utilization experiences, and disseminate tested community-level interventions. Through his work, Quinton strives to address health and racial disparities and promote holistic wellbeing among marginalized communities.

CHAI is proud to support Quinton as he embarks on the next step of his career, having recently accepted a faculty position at the University of Pittsburgh.
