Scholarships for Students in Aging
The Center on Aging administers two scholarships for University of Minnesota graduate and professional students who plan careers in aging:
Greater Twin Cities United Way/Center on Aging Internships - This innovative program pairs U of M graduate students with United Way agencies for aging or disability related internships.
Shelley Joseph-Kordell Scholarship - For currently enrolled graduate and professional students (University of Minnesota only, in any major or school) who will pursue aging-related careers.
The organizations listed below offer scholarship opportunities designated for students in aging-related fields. Check the individual sites for requirements and application information.
American Federation for Aging Research - AFAR offers several scholarships for graduate or professional students who are pursuing agibg - related research.
Care Providers of Minnesota Foundation Scholarships - The foundation has three scholarships funds available for students enrolled in aging-related programs.
Glenn/AFAR Scholarships for Research in the Biology of Aging - For students enrolled in PhD, DO, or MD programs who are pursuing biomedical research in aging.
Minnesota Gerontological Society - MGS has two scholarship funds for students (graduate, professional, or undergraduate) in gerontology or other aging-related fields. The 2017-2018 application is now open. Click here for the instrcutions and the application form.
National Council on Aging - The NCOA offers fellowships for graduate and professional students in Washington, DC.
